Sonamukhi College has formed RTI Cell under the leadership of the Principal, according to the Government-guidelines.
The name of the present State Public Information Officer(SPIO) is Dr. Sadhan Kumar Patra, Assistant Professor of the department of Sanskrit and that of the Appellate Authority(AA) is Prof. Dipak Kumar Neogi, Associate Professor of the department of Political Science. Their names have been sent to the Director of Public Instructions, Higher education Department as sought for earlier.
Various types of information relating to Admission, Examination, Teaching Staff, Non-teaching Staff, Library etc of the college are supplied from the college office mentating the limitations of RTI Act, 2005. A meeting of RTI Cell is arranged as and when it becomes necessary in view of making reply to any RTI application. All informations about the College is open for the public and it can obtained by citizens of India.
